The interface of inorganic nanomaterials and organic molecule/biomolecule is one of the most important fields in nanotechnology/nanomaterials. It is well known that single inorganic nanoparticle has shown versatile physical properties. However, single inorganic nanoparticle is not with intelligent features like biomolecules or artificial organic molecules. If the biological molecules/artificial molecule and inorganic nanoparticles are combined together to form hybrid nano-system, the artificially designed nano-system may not only own novel physical colors but also shine intelligent properties. Such nano-system will promise great applications in nanodevices, complex-electric circuits, artificial materials, and nanomedicine etc.
My research interests are as follow:
1) Developing peptide mimic method to synthesize novel inorganic-biomolecule nanohybrids.
2) Developing the sensor based upon FRET to detect the cancer biomarkers in lively cell in situ.
3) Developing the nanoparticles, MRI and Raman marker, in clinical applications.
